Google’s New Project Glass – Thoughts, Designs and Stories

Google has officially announced the Google[x] labs Project Glass, the future of technology. An exciting punch line to go with the project Glass. “We think technology should work for you — to be there when you need it and get out of your way when you don’t.” Will it help Google to rebuild its brand known for innovation or will it be another sad ending to the product?

Project Glass talks about combining all the necessities into one single product. You just need to wear the Glass and it will direct you to your destination, allow you to take pictures, send text or call your contacts and plenty other apps that will help you in your day to day life. All the functions are controlled through voice commands so need of touch screens or keypads.

Google has released a small video that explores the various possibility of this Project Glass.

No official release date is planned yet and also this is just a prototype of what the Project Glass will be all about.

This seems to be an interesting and bold move by Google to come up with Project Glass. Indeed it looks like innovation at its best but will people accept this new idea the way people embaraced iPhone and iPad? Is Project Glass what people really want as a gadget in today’s market?

Too many doubts and too many risks involved. But success never comes without risks. So who knows, this might  revolutionize the entire gadget industry and bring back glory to Google again which currently seemed to be threatened by Apple and Facebook.
